Michael Sheets has been an active and prolific painter for almost 30 years. More than 200 of his paintings are in private, corporate, and public collections across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Collections include: General Motors, The Wexner Foundation, MBNA America, Owens-Illinois, Carillon Importers (Absolut Vodka), Dana Corporation, The Ohio Urban League, Defiance College, ProMedica Health System, Monroe County Community College, T. His paintings have been featured in numerous print publications. Among the more notable are New American Painting and American Artist Magazine. He was commissioned to produce an Absolut Vodka advertisement that appeared in both USA Today and Time magazine and which has subsequently appeared in histories of that well-known advertising campaign.
Over his career, his work has been featured in exhibitions and he has had representation by many prominent galleries.
